1. There are several religious holidays going on this weekend. Any plans?
The boys and I might attend a worship service on Sunday morning. We’ll see how we feel. BigBob will be working and I will have to spend the afternoon working, as well. I am in pre-trial mode which means long hours for the next two weeks.
2. Do you look forward to holiday events or do they stress you out?
I no longer get stressed about holidays. Those days are over. Holidays are all about relaxing, and enjoying the day and the company of family.
3. Do you have any traditional meals that you will eat?
We used to have family Easter dinners — ham, scalloped potatoes, and corn were the main dishes. BigBob has always worked on Sundays and for many years I served as a Parish Organist/Pianist, so I worked throughout Holy Week: Choir rehearsals, plus Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services in the evening, a full day of preparations at the church on Saturday, and four services on Sunday morning, the first of which began at 6:00 a.m. So many of those dinners took place on Saturday night or Sunday evening. But these days, we don’t even attempt to have big home-cooked meals. We might go out for dinner tomorrow night . . . we will most likely have Mexican food.
4. We are changing seasons. What are you looking forward to?
Getting back into the outdoor pool. From October through May, water aerobics classes take place in the indoor pool, which is fine, but it is only five feet deep and that makes treading difficult. I love to bask in the sun in the health club’s large outdoor pool which is ten feet deep. A significant portion of water aerobics classes and my own fitness regimen can include long periods of treading.
5. Around here it is turning to spring. What signals spring to you?
6. What is your favorite season and why?
I love spring and autumn the best because of the dramatic changes taking place in the environment coupled with the pleasant temperatures.
7. Do you have a favorite food when dining out?
I love Mexican food. Give me a bowl of tortilla chips, some salsa, and a Dos Equis, and I’m content.
8. What is your favorite beverage when out?
Well, it depends on what kind of food I’m having. At a fine restaurant, my before-dinner drink of choice is a Greyhound (vodka and grapefruit juice).
9. When is your next big night out?
On Saturday, May 2, 2009, BigBob and I will be attending the banquet honoring the Herald Trumpets who will be performing with the Lodi Community Band the following day. There will be two concerts, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m., and it will be an honor to perform with them under the direction of their conductor.

Way to be not stressing out on the holidays, especially on Easter – the one holiday to celebrate anything but we’ve done.

#3. We don’t have traditional meals but we do have an easter egg hunt for all the little kids in the family (including nephews and nieces).
I decided long ago that Martha Stewart doesn’t live in my house. This year was a non stressful Easter.
I love Mexican food. Tacos and Nachos are the best!
Easter egg hunt is a tradition that is really fun for the kids.

Mostly saturdays are the most waiting days for enjoyment and relaxation.
